World SME Forum completed its “Georgia SME Advancement Programme: Contribution to the EU Programming in the Economic Sector”

The programme was designed upon consultations with SMEs and SME associations as well as the EUD and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development (MoE), Ministry of Agriculture, the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Association of Banks of Georgia, ICC Georgia and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and was conducted in line with the “SME Development Strategy of Georgia 2016-2020.”
Within the context of the program, WSF conducted interviews with SMEs inquiring their experience with access to finance, access to markets, access to skills and regulatory business habitat; conducted meetings with the government authorities, Enterprise Georgia, GCCI, chambers, associations and international development agencies; and prepared a holistic programme to the EUD, contributing to the formulation of future EU action in support of economic development for Georgian SMEs.
